Seymour Epstein Leadership Mission to Israel

If you’re motivated, successful, and passionate, you’re halfway there … we want to take you the rest of the way through the Seymour Epstein Leadership Mission to Israel.

The goal of the Epstein Leadership Mission is to train and encourage a select group of young professionals to become the foundation of our fundraising efforts. As a fellow, you will improve your already considerable leadership abilities and acquire more of the tools you need to make a difference in the Jewish community. The program will inspire you and challenge you through Israel-based education and solicitor training.

The Epstein Leadership Mission consists of a subsidized week-long mission to Israel, complete with solicitation training plus pre- and post-trip leadership classes. The mission, which will run from November 13-21, emphasizes real-world applications and with a select group of participants, sessions are intimate and highly interactive. Participants will be expected to engage in a specified number of face-to-face solicitations of behalf of the UJA MetroWest annual campaign and to serve on one or more of the UJA committees or boards after the mission.

This program is named in blessed memory of Seymour Epstein, who passed away in 1998. Epstein was the first president of the Jewish Federation of Morris-Sussex, campaign chair of its United Jewish Appeal, and president of the United Way of Morris County. He was instrumental in bringing about the merger that resulted in the United Jewish Federation of MetroWest and served as its campaign chair.

Ideal candidates should have prior leadership experience within the Jewish community. Following your experience in the program, you will be poised for success as you take your place among the next generation of innovative and passionate young leaders in our community.
